Light's are flashin on the highway
I wonder if we're gonna ever get home
I wonder if we're gonna ever get home tonight
Everywhere the water's gettin' rough
Your best intentions may not be enough
I wonder if we're gonna ever get home tonight

It's amazin that I've found time to write this little entry. I'm taking a much needed break from The State of the Union. Somehow I thought this would be easier the second time around. That, however, does not seem to be true in the least. If anything, this one is quite a bit harder. It's as if all the best things I would ever write were a giant forest. Writing the first State of the Union was like chopping down all of those trees to build an ideal mansion. Now, when the forest is completely gone, I'm being asked to build a skyscraper. It is slightly difficult.

Add family issues to that instance and it's a rather unerving time. My father seems to have stabalized, whatever that is supposed to mean. I suppose it means things are looking up. It is more than I could say a few weeks ago, anyway.

I don't know nothin next to change will come
Year after year what we do is undone
Time keeps movin from a crawl to a run
I wonder if we're gonna ever get home
You're out there walkin' on the highway
And all of the signs got blown away
Sometimes you wonder if you're walkin' in the wrong direction
